I love the New York Flea Markets...especially the one in the parking garage near 25th street.
When I was shooting a show there I would hit it every sunday. New Yorkers have so little space so its interesting to see the things that they collect and value...much smaller than the stuff in LA!
One of the larger items I found there was this really old hand tinted print of Siena. The frame is old fumed oak and if I had to guess I would say the print is from the 1800's but it could be older.
Feels like something someone brought over from Italy when they moved here.
They wanted 40 but I got it for 25 and then spent 100 shipping it to LA!
Ah well. Looking into its value now!
